The dog kennels have been purpose built and specially planned to ensure that dogs settle quickly into the surroundings and feel at home during their stay with us:
The layout of the pens prevents dogs being able to look directly into the opposite pen, which stops a shy pet feeling unsettled by a more boisterous neighbour.
Our dog pens are large enough to accommodate up to two or more large dogs from the same family if required.
Outside, all the runs are under cover and open-fronted, so the dogs can have plenty of fresh air and stay dry. Sleeping areas have controlled under-floor heating installed, allowing the dogs a choice of sleeping on either a heated or cooled area.
They also have a radio, to provide quiet music for those pets that are used to this at home; this background music helps the dogs to settle in quickly and feel at home.
We believe it is very important that all the dogs staying at Lower Norton farm are frequently handled while they are with us.
They are walked at least twice a day, usually through the farm woods. This ensures they have a good change of scenery and allows us to get to know them individually.
We welcome pets from Callington, Launceston, Plymouth, Liskeard, Saltash, Tavistock and across S.E Cornwall, and all other locations, including France.
Pets can be dropped off and collected between 9.00am and 5.00pm. We are closed 12:00 to 2:30pm.
We welcome viewings by appointment (Monday to Saturday); this will allow us to give you the time and attention you need. Please phone to arrange a time for us to meet you.
If our opening hours present a problem, we will try to accommodate alternative times by prior appointment, but cannot guarantee to be able to do so.
Cheques should be made payable to B. Bennett. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
Please check at the time of booking for current requirements.
